This website is dedicated to towns and cities that wish to join the Alliance and to get information on what is WACAP and how to join it. It is also dedicated to those that are already members and want to get and share information on projects of the fight against poverty (city experiences) or know about WACAP actions. This page should facilitate communication with the member cities and provide them with information we send by snail mail.

The Millennium Development Goals at the heart of municipal action

By 2015 :

  1. Reduce poverty by half
  2. Provide all children with primary education
  3. Eliminate gender disparities in school
  4. Reduce by two-thirds infant mortality
  5. Reduce by three-quarters maternal mortality
  6. Reverse the progression of AIDS and malaria
  7. Ensure environmental sustainability
  8. Develop a global partnership for development
